Ingredients

AP flour
2 1/4 Cups
Salt
1/4 Teaspoon
Baking powder
2 Teaspoons
Butter, cold
12 Ounces
Milk
1/4 Cup
Cheese sticks (mozzarella)

12 Ounces

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
  3. Mix in cold butter with the flour. The mixture should be crumbly.
  4. Add milk (I used soymilk) until the mixture looks more like a batter.
  5. Cut up and add in the mozzarella cheese. Mix to distribute the cheese evenly.
  6. Place biscuit dough in a flat, thin line. Top with chopped sopressata and roll up.
  7. Place onto parchment paper and bake for 12 minutes, until the tops are golden-brown in color.
